PROJECT IMPACT: May & June

 

IMPACT WHO: We’re supporting children and teens entering the foster care system in Polk County.

IMPACT HOW:
Every child deserves the dignity of having their own personal hygiene products and their own bag and blanket. The Foster SQUAD is providing Care Kits to children and teens entering the foster care system in Polk County. Below is a list of items you can donate for these bags.

  • Blankets (Any size from baby to adult. Homemade tie blankets are accepted)

  • Reusable Water Bottles

  • Kids Soap and Lotion

  • Sippy Cups

  • Fidget Toys

All donations can be delivered to the Valley Community Center during regular business hours or Valley Church during weekly gatherings on Sundays from 8 am to 12:30 pm.

IMPACT PARTNER ORGANIZATION: The Foster SQUAD exists to provide resources to Iowa foster families as they care for our community’s most vulnerable children. They have a monthly support group, training for foster parents to keep their license current, and provide care kits (basic items to make a child feel welcome in his or her new home) to each child who enters foster care in central Iowa.
